Rusoord Retreat is more than just accommodation, owners Jannie and Marlize Moolman, offer an authentic farm style breakaway whether you looking for a weekend away or holding a business conference or group team building. The self-catering Renosterfontein Guesthouse is a spacious five bedroomed Karoo Style Farmhouse. There are no “Eskom” facilities and if you are adventurous enough, you will go the whole haul and skip the generator option and only use the oil lamps and candles in the farm house.

The kitchen has a lovely AGA cast iron, heat storage stove, gas fridge and gas stove creating the farm kitchen setting so real you can almost smell the bread baking. The entertainment and conference area of the farm house offers a fireplace and the traditional large dinning table. Add the farm house “stoep” on which you can sit and drink in the beauty of the veld, the imposing mountains and the spectacular Karoo sunsets and your experience is complete.

The farmhouse, having five bedrooms and only one bathroom, is ideal for families or groups, however overnight stops and romantic couple get-always are always welcome. We recommend that guests book for a minimum of two nights to ensure a true farm stay experience, so don’t forget to book, the beds are warm and comfy and the wide open space is waiting for you – come join us.

Karoo Mighty Men Conference (MMC)

In 2011 we hosted the first Karoo Mighty Men Conference. Approximately 5000 men attended this historic event. Well known evangelist Angus Buchan was the Speaker for the weekend and the worship was led by Retief Burger and Joe Niemand. It was a wonderful experience and the biggest conference of its sort held in the Karoo. This year, between 28 April and 30 April 2017 we will again be proudly hosting this prestigious religious gathering.
