Potchefstroom Golf Course in Potchefstroom, North West
The Potchefstroom Golf Course is situated in Potchefstroom in the North West Province, South Africa.
The course is an 18-hole, 70 par parklands golf course. The course is 6374 metres in length.
The course opened in 1901 and features a few challenging holes, water hazards and all round fun. It is located on the green belt formed by the Mooi River which winds itself through the golf course attracting an array of birdlife and creating a natural beauty.
The course is one of the best kept in the North West and although a fairly flat course, it is still regarded as one of the finest tests in the area and has in fact hosted the South Africa Open twice.

The Golf Club is open Monday to Sunday. Visitors welcome every day.

Climate
Potchefstroom experiences its rainfall in the mid-summer months, with December and January seeing the highest levels.
Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 15˚C and 29˚C.
Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 2˚C and 18˚C.
Transport
Road trips from Johannesburg to Potchefstroom will take approximately one and a half hours (123 km) via the N12.
