Marina Beach, on the Hibiscus Coast, is a beautiful, sandy and unspoilt natural beach, with its own tidal pool.

The beach is located next to the San Lameer Hotel, in the small village of Southbroom. On the southern side, it is bordered by the Impanyati Nature Reserve.

There is a small restaurant at the beach and plenty of parking. Lifeguards are always in attendance and facilities are maintained in top-class standards throughout the year. There is easy access for those disabled, with designated parking and ablutions for wheelchair users.

Environmental education projects include Public / Tourist awareness and formal schools education. Various schools in the region, as well as schools in the rural areas, are targeted for visits to the beach.

One can buy locally made arts and crafts from the traders who have a special trading space allocated adjacent to the beach.

Access to the beach is via the N2 highway, past the town of Margate, with the turning to the beach clearly marked “Marina Beach”, directly after the turning to Southbroom.
