Riverbend Crocodile Farm in Southbroom & vicinity, KwaZulu-Natal

Riverbend Crocodile Farm has become a popular attraction for families holidaying in Southbroom and other seaside villages in the area such as Margate or Port Edward.

The Farm first opened in 1981 and after celebrating its 30th birthday in 2011, the Riverbend Crocodile Farm has grown and has now hosted over two million visitors and looking forward to welcoming more! Now, with over 200 adult crocodiles and numerous juveniles, visitors are able to view crocodiles in their natural habitat and these beautifully landscaped enclosures are not only home to crocodiles, but to a number of bird species as well.

A highlight for any visitor is the crocodile hatching demonstrations in December, January and February when visitors are taken through this natural phenomenon step by step. Thousands of visitors return each year just to experience this wonderful natural phenomenon.
