Bloekompoort Karavaanpark in Cooperville LH, Midvaal Platteland, Gauteng

Bloekompoort Caravan Park is situated on theR54, 20km from Vereeniging, 16km from Deneysville and only 6 km from north bay, Vaal Dam. Securely tucked away between beautiful tall blue gum trees, it is hard to believe that this tranquil respite lies hidden just off a busy main route.

Caravans / Motorhomes

At present there are 50 Caravan stands with power points, satellite dishes and a cement slab; just bring your own decoder. The stands are beautifully lawned and in some areas terraced. The emphasis is on lots of greenery and shade and thirty-five additional different varieties of trees were recently planted to add to the already prolific array of blue gums.

Chalets

There are a number of self catering chalets to accommodate single, double or family needs.

Dormitory style accommodation

We have a secluded block of dormitory style accommodation for groups for team building or weekend getaway events.

Swimming pools

There are two cold water pools next to each other, one for young children and one for older children and adults where mum and dad can keep an eye on the little ones as they themselves keep cool.

Ablutions

The ablutions are neat, tiled and spacious. An added benefit is the family bathrooms where families can do their ablutions together.

Lapa

In the pool area we have a 6 x 16m communal lapa with a braai close by for family braais or friendly get-togethers.

Entertainment halls

We have two halls that may be utilised for special meetings and events.

TV coverage

There are a number of television sets displayed throughout the park where you can watch your favourite programmes or sports events.

Pool / Snooker

There is a snooker table for those fun friendlys.

Entertain yourself

Make your own entertainment - we have a dvd player, sound system and cordless mike on loan.

Catering

For large groups Bloekompoort will cater for breakfasts or lunches and there is a kitchen with a serving area and sufficient crockery to cater for 100 persons.

Tuck shop and bottle store

A tuck shop and bottle store with a lotto machine is available on site to cater for your basic needs and “left behind” items.

Looking ahead

There are future plans to raise the occupancy to around 1000 caravan stands and also for entertainment in the form of super tubes and such for the kids and young at heart.

For the present this is a great place to de-stress, or for clubs to meet and enjoy fellowship, or hold meetings.
