Midway between Port Elizabeth and East London lies a stretch of unspoilt beaches as far as the eye can see. This picturesque haven is known as Kenton-On-Sea and is traditionally one of South Africa’s most popular holiday escapes.
Kenton-On-Sea is where the sun is rumoured to spend the winter months making this seaside village the perfect holiday destination whether you go for the quiet during the off-season or the busy vibe of a “Kenton Seaside Christmas”!
The area offers the nature lover a place to relax and unwind, nestled between the mouths of the Bosmans and Kariega Rivers, there is an abundance of bird life, whale watching, hiking trails, a safe place for swimming as well as other water sports. In 2000, Kariega Beach was voted the best beach in South Africa and if you drive only a few minutes inland you can experience a true African game experience at the Kariega Game Reserve.
The village has a few wonderful restaurants and bars, plus a surprising amount of nightlife for a small coastal town. Accommodation comes in the way of self-catering apartments, Boutique Guesthouses, B&B’s and cottage rentals.

Kenton-on-Sea receives approximately 471 mm of rain annually with the majority of its’ rainfall occurring during the summer months.
Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 18˚C and 27˚C.
Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 10˚C and 20˚C.
There are daily flights into Port Elizabeth International Airport. Kenton-on-Sea is approximately 132 km’s away travelling along the N2 and R72. Car hire facilities and Airport Shuttles are available at the Airport.
