Brentwood Lodge in Deneysville, Vrystaat
The outside of this building belies the warmth and charm that is found inside.
Brentwood Lodge is a landmark in Denyesville, as in the 1930’s the building was a garage (workshop) where the old Flying Boat engines belonging to British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC), were serviced.
Some of the features such as exterior doors were retained to maintain a workshop type feature and ambience, as a reminder of these historical times.
In more recent history the buildings were used as a candle factory and then were converted into accommodation, trading as Ziba Lodge before being taken over by its present Managers, who are fondly known as Sandy and Woody.
The establishment can sleep up to 34 persons and is therefore ideal for families, or family reunions, large groups, team building, conferencing, weddings and functions of all sorts, or simply a lovely place to overnight.
Since the new owners bought the premises they have done many alterations and redecorated rooms.
The accommodation is spacious and the atmosphere relaxing and friendly and is situated in close proximity of the dam.
