S131
In terms of game viewing, the S131 can be full of surprises and sightings of lion, elephant, giraffe, zebra, impala and even the side-striped and black-back jackal are often reported. It is a quiet road, a bit bumpy at times but overall the quality is not bad.
A very common bird on this road is the red-crested korhaan and it can often be spotted right on the roadside.
There are a number of scenic game hot spots, or waterholes, along the S131 and the vegetation of bushwillows, mopanes, weeping wattles and silver cluster-leaf trees with lala palms along most of the drainage lines, makes the drive both scenic and peaceful.
