Robertson Wine celebrate their 13th annual Slow Food & Wine Festival on the scenic Route 62. Explore a wealth of history and authentic wine experiences here at various wineries and tourism establishments in quaint towns of  Robertson, Barrydale and McGregor.

Producers of the much-loved wine will share their belief in a slow way of life with food and wine enthusiasts from all over who want to savour their experiences and prefer to encounter the Boland at a leisurely pace.

Warm up this winter in front of the fireplace with red wines while you indulge your taste buds with hearty country cuisine using local produce. Enjoy diverse traditions from Vetkoek, curries and Waterblommetjie Soup to seafood Paella, Chinese Duck, Ostrich and Kudu inspired dishes. You can enjoy some fine dining gourmet offerings or relax with a farm style platter or picnic.

Explore wine farms with underground cellar tours, game drives, horse rides and boat cruises. You will be able to “taste the lifestyle” with and array of local produce and award-winning wines by joining cooking classes and intimate winemaker’s dinners. This year’s festival will also offer a wide variety of tasting opportunities where you will be able to enjoy vertical tastings, brandy pairings, tutored Méthode Cap Classique master classes and food and wine pairings. 

Festival participants will be able to interact with the winemakers and the wine farmers in an informal setting, enabling one to experience the intricate winemaking process and discover the story behind every bottle.
