WWI & WWII Monument in Bethulie, Free State
This cenotaph was erected in memory of those from Bethulie and surrounding districts who gave their lives for their country during World Wars 1 and 11. The unveiling took place on 14 March 1945.
The MOTHS had until recently held a Remembrance Day Ceremony at eleven o’clock on the 11th of the 11th month - not only to remember those who fell in the World Wars but also to honour those who perished during the wars in Korea, Vietnam and on our borders.
During this service a role of Honour was read to commemorate each and every soldier that lost his life.
