Umhlanga has become the premier destination for holiday makers in SA and the Umhlanga Summer Festival is one of the most sort after beach festivals over the December holidays! It’s almost that time of year again where Main Beach attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors looking for holiday fun in the sun!

The Umhlanga Summer Festival is a multifaceted beach carnival which has been ongoing for 12 years, each event just getting bigger and better each time. A favourite each year is the Umhlanga Trail Run/Walk comprising of a 6 km, 12 km and 18 km event. This year the race will start and finish at the Sibaya Casino and features a nature trail through sugarcane and forests with spectacular views and a route suited to most ages and abilities.

The Mr & Mrs Umhlanga is also a regular crowd puller and the festival will not be the same without the ever-popular Carols by Candlelight charity event at the Granada Square.

Apart from these stand out events, the Summer Festival still comprises of a number of interactive and exciting events which include beach, water and land activities appealing to every holiday makers sense of fun.
