plekke wat jy nooit sal vergeet nie
Bridal Veil Falls so named because it resembles a bridal veil is truly spectacular and is over 70m high.

The falls can be reached by taking the old Lydenburg road until the gravel forestry road on the right, approximately 3 km down the track. One of the biggest sawmills in the Southern hemisphere, Mondi Timbers is situated on the corner at the turnoff. Continue on this gravel road, passing the Ceylon Forest Station on the left, cross over a narrow bridge and on to the five road junction. Bear right but keep to the main road. Further on a track forks to the right and 300m further leads to a stream. From here the falls can be seen ahead.

It is advisable to park on the rise and follow the rough track through thick vegetation to the left, beyond the stream .

After a challenging but enjoyable 750m walk through the lush indigenous forest, one can hear the sounds of the roaring waterfall which drops into the centre of an ampitheatre at the head of the valley.
