A Fabulous Summer-Time Market

The Country Craft Market at Southey’s Vines has been around for years, over thirty to be exact and offers visitors to Somerset West a perfect summer’s day out.

The Market first opened in 1983 with a mere 17 stalls, but today you will find crafters and food stalls at every turn, approximately 180 stalls in total. There is an annual “Approval Day” held each year on the 1st May where new crafters are selected to join, keeping it an ever growing and popular Market, without any compromise to the quality of the crafts and eats on offer.

A variety of genuine handcrafted items can be found, almost anything from jewelry, trinkets and clothing to homeware and decorations. For the thirsty and hungry shopper the Country Kitchen is the perfect area to stop and enjoy some superb refreshments. Rotary Clubs and Scout Troops provide most of the eats and drinks in this area with the proceeds going to various charities.

Open only in the summer months, this market has something for every family member, so come through and enjoy the sunshine, food, drinks and of course the fabulous shopping!
