FNB Whisky Live Festival in Sandown, Sandton, Gauteng

The Whisky & Spirits Live Festival is back again, famed as the largest consumer whisky show in the world and for showcasing the widest range of whisky under one roof! This year marks the 17thanniversary of this event and you can expect so much more!

Whisky has progressively become the drink of choice with adults aged 30+ and whisky festivals have long been an international trend with festivals being held in London, Paris, New York, Belgium and Tokyo to name a few. South Africa, however, is leading the way with a show that will feature almost 300 top brands, some new releases, from all over the world including Scotland, Ireland, the USA, Taiwan and from South Africa.

Visitors can expect to meet a range of industry experts happy to offer advice on how to savour every sip as they journey through single malts and blends from Speyside and the Highlands to the strongly contrasting American Bourbons and smooth Irish whiskey. Specialist hour-long master classes are also hosted separate to the main event where an impressive line-up of Master Distillers and Global Ambassadors give in-depth tastings which often include whiskies not available in the Tasting Hall downstairs!

This year you can experience newly introduced entertainment – performances from your favourite local musicians - and the event now includes a VIP ticket. There will be dedicated hostesses to assist in welcoming you and assisting in the VIP lounge throughout your evening. On arrival you will be treated to dry snacks, cheese boards a private bar stocked with premium whiskies, spirits, local beers, wine, soft drinks and bottled water will be in the lounge too, so you don’t have to queue at any time.

Whisky & Spirits Live supports responsible drinking and no U18’s will be allowed entry into the show. All guests will receive a 440ml Consol Glass Still Water. Designated Diver tickets do not include tasting vouchers. Whisky Live has also partnered with Uber and Buddy's home drive service to ensure that all patrons have the means to enjoy the show responsibly and get home safely!

              VIP Experience Lounge, R799. Ticket includes 18 tasting vouchers, free Valpre water, a meal voucher, parking ticket and four free cocktails plus access to the incredible VIP Experience Lounge. There will be no queues either as you have your own VIP entry counter
