Warm Water Fun in the Sun

Pennington Beach lies along the KwaZulu-Natal south coast, approximately 75 km from Durban, in the sought-after holiday destination of the same name.

This beach is ideal for families, it is a safe swimming spot for kids of all ages, a tidal pool for younger kids and lifeguards on duty over the weekend and during holiday season for the older crowds that enjoy the waves.

Surfing, swimming and snorkelling is a pleasure in these warm waters of the Indian Ocean and Pennington Beach promises an unspoilt beach with all the amenities for all visitors, humans and dogs – don’t forget to make use of the poop bags provided if your fur buddy is with you!

Pennington’s water also boasts a rich blend of fish species which has made this a very popular sport fishing community. The annual 'Couta Classic’ is held annually in Pennington over the Easter weekend and attracts hundreds of fishermen from all over the country to participate in one of the largest fishing competitions in the province and it’s not just deep sea fishing that’s on offer but rock and surf fishing is popular year round!
