Pure Venom Reptile Park in Shelly Strand & vicinity, Margate, KwaZulu-Natal

The Pure Venom Reptile Park, the largest reptile park in the South Africa, is a must when visiting the area of Shelly Beach and  Margate.

Pure Venom is a wonderful place to learn about snakes and reptiles along the South Coast. Their professional staff, through daily snake demonstrations and guided tours, provide visitors with a much better understanding of these incredible creatures. There is a wide variety of venomous and non-venomous snakes as well as other reptiles.

A fun day out when the weather isn’t great for the beach, Pure Venom has a curio shop and restaurant with a kids’ play area. Kids can also spend time in the animal petting area with Harriet the Pig, Percy the Peacock, Dexter the Duck, various other friends and the latest addition, Baaabara the Lamb. Enjoy a cup of tea with a light meal at the restaurant while the kids have fun!

Pure Venom also assist the community with removing snakes from homes and offering demos on the slithery creature to companies and schools! Snake owners are welcome to drop in and see the list of snakes for sales, they just mind a new and unique bestie!
