South Africa
plekke wat jy nooit sal vergeet nie

The Petrus-se-Brand Mountain Bike Trail is situated in Knysna in the Western Cape, South Africa.

The Mountain Bike Trail runs from Diepwalle Forest Station to the Garden of Eden and riders can start at either point. The Diepwalle start is the highest point of the ride making the rest of the ride mostly downhill and so easier and recommended for the not so fit or beginners. The level of the route is considered easy to intermediate with some moderate to challenging single tracks. Some degree of technical skill is required such as feathered braking and gear shifting whilst steeply descending.

This mountain bike trail is a particularly beautiful ride with stunning views, pristine indigenous forest with a feast of tall yellowwoods and low water bridge crossings. The view from Kleineiland is well worth a stop to look over the Tsitsikamma Mountains and Plettenberg Bay.

The ride will take between two and three hours, starting from the Garden of Eden will take approximately and extra half hour. Riders need to be aware that the route becomes very muddy and slippery after rains and therefore more challenging for beginners.
