The Jive Cape Town Funny Festival

Cape Town’s Winter Tonic

The Funny Festival was founded in 1997 and has been keeping Capetonians funny bones entertained for 20 years. Eddy Cassar, comedy entrepreneur and publicist, founded the festival and from humble beginnings it soon developed into the annual Winter Comedic Tonic for Cape Town’s locals!

The four-week run funny festival brings together talented local and international comedians for an exceptional show at the Baxter Theatre. This year the ensemble includes top comics, actors, impersonators and even a circus star. The stellar cast includes local comedian Marc Lottering and Alan Committie as well as international guests Captain Frodo and Mario Queen of the Circus – “Freddie Mercury” is back with his new show!

The Show runs for 2 hrs and has a 20 minute interval. Parental guidance for children under 18 is advisable. Tickets for the hysterical show are already on sale – grab yours fast, they sell out early!
