Design Indaba Conference & Festival 2018

Design Activism and Creativity Takes Centre Stage

Design Indaba's iconic annual conference allows you to experience the world's leading creative currency that's driving design for a better world.

The internationally acclaimed Design Indaba will be taking place from the 27 February till 1 March, giving you a three-day event, you cannot miss. Design Indaba goes beyond design and will once again set the standard for creative excellence, innovative entrepreneurship and lateral solutions-based thinking on global design and social challenges. Awarded as the Best Conference in the World, Design Indaba aims to make a positive impact on society by building a movement that attracts producers of meaningful culture and business, regardless of sector or industry.

Global advertising superstar David Drogo will be joined by experimental Dutch designer Joris Laarman, legendary architects Dong-Ping Wong, Annabelle Selldorf and Afro-futurist Kenyan filmmaker Wanuri Kahui at this year’s conference. David is the founder and chairman of Drogo5, a multiple award-winning agency based in New York that ranks among the top ten advertising companies in the world. Having David at this conference brings amazing insight into creativity playing a role in facilitating social change and this is just the beginning of this insightful conference.

The design Indaba Simulcast will be screened as a live feed from the main conference and will take place in the Thetre Venue at the same location. The conference is widely regarded as the leading conference of its kind and is powered by Woolworths, Mercedes-Benz and Liberty.
