Franschhoek Bastille Festival

French Food, French Wine

The Franschhoek Huguenot Monument will host the 26th annual French inspired Franschhoek Bastille Festival over the weekend of 13 and 14 July this year. This village is a hive of activities during the weekend that nobody would want to miss!

The village will be dressed to the nines in the French colours of red, blue and white for the weekend, embracing its French heritage and adding to the hype of what is to come. The theme is always embraced to perfection, but the food and wine Marquee that is set against the backdrop of the monument is the main attraction of the entire festival.

As winter arrives, the Marquee will help keep out the cold, while still keeping the beautiful mountain views. You can sample the amazing Franschhoek delights that are on offer to treat your taste buds. There is also a great selection of gourmet fare available to purchase from some of Franschhoek’s well known eateries.

Make sure to immerse yourself properly with a beret, a baguette, live music and a quirky caricature of your Bastille experience!
