Silwerstroomstrand is a coastal resort on the Cape West Coast, approximately 13 km’s north of Melkbosstrand. It’s beach, the Blue Flag Silwerstroom Beach is open to holidaymakers staying at the self-catering bungalows and caravan park, as well as to day visitors and residents from nearby Atlantis.
Take a day trip to the Silwerstroom Beach, an attractive 1 km stretch of white sand with a small bay to the south and the Silwerstroom River to the north. The resort falls within the Cape West Coast Biosphere Reserve and is bordered by the nature reserve.
Silwerstroom Beach is a real family friendly beach with safe swimming and a tidal pool which is considered one of the top ten in Cape Town and the surrounding area. Here the whole family can play and splash about in safety as well as picnic or braai alongside a beautifully unspoilt beach! Facilities also include a play area for the kids and clean bathrooms with outside showers.
Silwerstroom Beach is also a hot spot for surfers, the beach break offers both left and right-hand waves. Grab the beach umbrella, pack the cooler bag, spritz on some sunscreen and enjoy a beach day out with the family!
