Safari Destination
Alldays is a tiny rural, bushveld village which lies in the northern corner of the Limpopo Province, just over an hours’ drive from Louis Trichardt. The quaint village, with less than 5 000 residents, is largely devoid of human activity and offers unspoilt beauty with views of the Soutpansberg Mountains.
Alldays is mainly known as a safari destination, given that the land has mostly become a patchwork of private game farms with a he variety of wildlife, include the Big Five. The surrounding area has a unique type of bushveld which is only found there, and it has become popular for hunting expeditions. The hunting farms here attract many local and international trophy hunters.
The most popular hiking trail in this part of the country has to be 3-day Wilderness Hiking Trail. The 35 Kilometre guided trail follows the Limpopo River and includes incredible birdlife, a large variety of indigenous trees as well as sightings of crocodile, hippo, waterbuck, Kudu, Impala and Bushbuck, amongst others.
Several giant trees can be found in and around Alldays. In Alldays itself is the Giant Fig Tree which claims to be larger than the Wonder Tree in Tshwane and in the surrounding area, the Baobab Tree, 21 metres in circumference, and the Nyala Tree, covering a surface area of 100m², are both worth a visit.
Alldays and the surrounding area provides a variety of Private Game Lodges, Hunting Farms, self-catering Lodges and B&B’s to suit all travellers’ budgets.
