Vredenburg Golf Club

The Vredenburg Golf Course can be found on the road between Vredenburg and Hopefield, servicing a few of the small towns along the Cape West Coast.

The course is a 9-hole combination Links and typical Parklands style golf course with Kikuyu Grass Fairways and Bent Grass Greens. The length of the Course is 5 725 m and the course has 18 different teeing areas which allows golfers to play 18 holes of golf.

The Golf Course was designed by Bill Kerr of the Golf Architect Group Grimsdell, Kerr & Associates in Durban and opened in 1989 when it was decided that Vredenburg should have its own golf course separate from that of Saldanha Bay. The course is a pretty one with trees and bush lining all the fairways however this does not detract from a good challenging game with fast greens.

The Course greens have often been rated as the best greens in the Cape and the circuit in general is extremely well maintained with Management continually striving to provide such surfaces at all times to both its members and visitors.
