Strand Dune Park in Strand, Western Cape

Along Beach Road in Strand, opposite to the Caltex Garage, corner of De Ruyter Street, is a large grassed recreation area called Strand Dune Park. It is the perfect place to spend the day having a picnic with the family whilst visiting the beach.

If you make an early start and get there before the crowds arrive, you may secure one of the four under cover picnic tables to get out of the sun’s scorching rays.

For those who live in small apartments Dune Park can be a welcome venue to take the party kids to.

There are ablution facilities and a playground for the children.
