Seal Point Nature Reserve is situated alongside Cape St. Francis in the Eastern Cape, South Africa.
The pretty Seal Point Nature Reserve is one of four nature reserves that can be found alongside the villages of Cape St. Francis, Port St. Francis and St. Francis Bay. The others include Cape St. Francis Nature Reserve, Seal Bay Nature Reserve and the Irma Booysen Flora Reserve.
The area is a wild, beautiful and unspoilt spot at the end of the road after driving through Cape St. Francis. The area includes rock pools, a sandy beach and tranquil scenery. Ideal for swimming, surfing, body boarding and sand boarding makes the area very popular with surfers, who simply refer to the area as “Seals”. Whales and Dolphins are often spotted in the waters and the beautiful walks through the reserve are reason enough to visit.
At the point of the Reserve is an old historic lighthouse that can be visited as well as a Penguin and marine life sanctuary for injured birds. Spending a day at this reserve is highly recommend, where fresh air, swimming and other activities offer a fun filled day for the whole family.
