The Inn

Kasteelberg is a beautiful Cape Victorian homestead built in 1911 right on the town square. It was carefully restored in 2002 and named after the fortress-like mountain that stands guard over the Valley.

The Bistro

Exquisite cuisine, unforgettable music, soft lighting and friendly service. The wine list salutes local winemakers and our delectable menu is small and changes regularly. It has been described b culinary connoisseurs as 'home cooking with country flair'. The Secret Garden

The Secret Garden is summer’s favourite spot for locals and visitors alike, who come to enjoy a cold draught beer in the outdoor Stone Pub, a refreshing dip in the pool or just to chill with a bottle of wine. The well-priced food is fantastic, the atmosphere laid back and because kids AND pets are always welcome, it is the preferred choice of many. The Secret Garden has already made its mark as an ideal summer venue for birthday parties, end-of-year functions, company braais, bikers’ breakfasts and just about any occasion where people want to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere and unique setting.

Directions

Riebeek Kasteel is situated in the Riebeek Valley, approximately 86km from Cape Town and an hour's drive from the West Coast. A number of major Swarland and Boland towns are in close proximity.

From Cape Town

ake exit 61 into Malmesbury. At T-Junction turn left, cross two traffic intersections and at the stop sign on the incline, turn right in the direction of Wellington. From here, Riebeek Ksteel is clearly signposted. Once on the R311, turn right into the village at De Oude Kerk. Kasteelberg Country Inn is situated in Fontein Street, the first turning to the right (at the tennis court).
