Returning for its 16th year is the incredibly popular and massively hyped, rAge Expo. It is South Africa’s biggest award-winning video gaming, computer, technology and geek culture exhibition. The Expo started in 2002 and since then the Johannesburg Show now caters for tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans over the three-day event and has gotten bigger and better every single year!

In October, the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg will once again experience a flood of dedicated “rAgers” for a long weekend of gaming, gadgets and everything geeky. The Show provides the opportunity to touch, feel and experiment with all the latest goodies and gadgets before selecting your favourites to purchase or pre-order. Many call it the event of the year which allows you to escape your reality for a few hours or perhaps the whole weekend! You can also join in the fun of cosplay with others who share the same passion, chat to your favourite local comic book artists and get engrossed in the passion and joy of gaming not only on console, but PC as well as board games too!

This year, like every year, sees new games and new gadgets that will excite your senses, bringing you up close and personal with new VR games and more and more cosplayers making you feel like you are inside your game, surrounded by all the characters!

rAge is also the host of NAG LAN, Southern Africa’s largest BYOC (Bring your own computer/Console) LAN event. Gamers enter into a competition where they play multiplayer games on the same high-speed network over 3 days. Long-time online friends get the opportunity to finally meet face to face, slay dragons and swop stories while going on quests together.
