Hans Merensky Golf Course is situated just outside Phalaborwa in the Limpopo Province, South Africa.

The course is an 18-hole, 72 Par Parklands style golf course with Cynodon Grass Fairways and Bayview Greens. The course is 6 549 meters in length.

The golf course was designed by Robert Grimsdell and boarders the world famous Kruger National Park. This world famous course is set in a unique bushveld atmosphere and is a visual masterpiece. Resident wildlife include Giraffe, Hippo, Impala, Crocodile and over 200 species of birds which adds a safari element to the game which hard to find anywhere else.

The championship course offers an excellent game to golfers on any level and was recently voted the best walking course in South Africa. It also received the Diamond Arrow Award for being the highest rated course in Limpopo.

Fees

Green fees are between R250 and R350. Prices are subject to change so it is recommended that interested parties contact the Golf Course directly. Visitors are welcome seven days a week.

Climate

Phalaborwa experiences rainfall mainly in the summer months with the highest occurring between November and February.

Summer months, October to March will experience average temperatures of between 18˚C to 31˚C. 

Winter months, May to August, will bring temperatures down to between 8˚C and 24˚C.

Transport

There are daily flights from Johannesburg into the Hendrik van Eck Airport in Phalaborwa. Car rental companies are available for easy access to the surrounding areas. Road trips from Johannesburg via the N12 and N4 will take approximately five and a half hours.
