Mnandi Beach is a 5 km sandy stretch of shoreline on the warm False Bay coastline that is very popular with the local residents of Strandfontein and Khayelitsha.

During early summer it can be particularly windy with treacherous currents and bathers are requested to only swim between the yellow/red flags which the lifeguards demarcate on the beach.

The beach is good for walking and fishing, and offers scenic views over the Wolfgat Nature Reserve’s limestone cliffs. There is plenty of parking, conveniently situated, so that one can even sit in your car and watch the waves, whales and seals.

The adjacent recreational area at Mnandi offers excellent facilities for an enjoyable day in the sun. These include a large freshwater pool with water slides, landscaped lawns with playground equipment, braais, kiosks and picnic areas.
