Lucien beach is a beautiful and popular swimming beach, on the opposite end of the stretch of sand from Margate beach.

Due to its warm water, swimming is possible all year round and during the summer and easter holidays the beach can become very crowded. At other times it is a good place to chill.

There is a steep stairway, with a number of stairs down to the beach, making this beach not accessible by those with physical disabilities.

There is a small tuck-shop at the beach and local women sell their arts and crafts in a specially designated area, around the main parking area.

The parking area is elevated with stunning views over the beach, and the surrounding areas, and from here you can take a pleasant walk to Uvongo, whilst catching glimpses of the dolphins and other sea-life en-route.

Lifeguards are on duty throughout the year and environmental education programmes are run during the holiday seasons.
