Maroela Private Rest Camp in Central Region, Kruger National Park, Limpopo

Maroela is a small camp situated on the banks of the Timbavati River, on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park, approximately 4km east of Orpen Rest Camp.

This camp is one of only two camps in the Park that exclusively caters for guests with caravans and tents. There are no restaurant / shop facilities and all bookings are done through the Orpen Rest Camp.

Close to the fence, visitors can indulge in watching a variety of animals that visit Rabelais dam. There is also a rustic viewing platform overlooking the Timbavati River.

Night drives enable you to take part in the nocturnal activities of Kruger's secretive creatures, in the company of experienced guides and trackers.

Guided bush walks, in the company of trained field guides with backup rifles will take groups of up to 8 people out into the bush for a few hours.

The most picturesque of all the routes falls along the Timbavati River.
