South Africa
des couleurs inoubliables

Krisjan-se-Nek Picnic Site is situated in Knysna in the Western Cape, South Africa.

The picnic spot might not be the most well-known in the area and a little smaller than others, but it is still breathtakingly beautiful and has much on offer. Located in the heart of the Garden Route, the site provides stunning views and a restful atmosphere, perfect for a lazy afternoon. If you have more energy, there is a hiking trail and a mountain bike trail which both starts and ends at the picnic site. There is also a large wide open lawn area just right for ball games.

This area was Author, Dalene Matthee’s favourite spot and she would often come here to replenish her soul and write her stories. Her Memorial has been placed here and the Giant Outeniqua Yellowwood Tree is now known as the Dalene Matthee Big Tree.
