Découvrir l'Afrique du Sud
Sors ta tête du sable

The hike from Coffee Bay to the Hole in the Wall is a highlight, and scenic adventure, for any visitor to this part of the world. The hike takes about 3 hours with plenty of ups and downhills, you will need to be relatively fit for this one.

This beautiful trail can be done on your own or with a guide, try the well-known Coffee Shack who have experienced hikers and offer a 4x4 ride back from the Hole in the Wall. This is the kind of hike that offers many opportunities to take a swim and cool off, make sure you bring you costume along. The trail will require comfortable, maybe even correct hiking footwear and the weather is humid so come prepared with enough water!

The trail traverses through colourful villages, running rivers, rural terrain and some of the most beautiful landscape the Wild Coast has to offer. Keep an eye out for dolphins and whales along the way, in season it is fairly common to catch a glimpse of these amazing sea creatures.

Hikers tend to build up a thirst on the way and the Hole in the Wall Hotel, although rustic, offers ice cold refreshments just before rounding the last hill and laying eyes on the prize, the phenomenal rock formation out in the ocean, The Hole in the Wall. This geological feature is unlike anything you have ever seen and of course, provides ample photo opportunities!
