Kimberley Ghost Tours in Homestead, Kimberley, Northern Cape
Haunted Houses and Buildings
The Kimberley Ghost Trail can be taken through the city of Kimberley in the Northern Cape Province, South Africa.
Kimberely has approximately 158 haunted houses and buildings and still another 200 to be verified by paranormal experts. Death on the diamond mines and during the Anglo Boer War has given Kimberley a great many haunted corners. Today, the shivering facts and fallacies of the Great Mine Disaster and fire, failed romances and other gory deaths are delivered in a fun and entertaining ghost trail around the city.
The Ghost Tour begins at the Honoured Dead Memorial with a welcome glass of Sherry to calm the nerves. On this night-time tour, visitors could encounter the restless spirit of the first librarian who drank arsenic after he was caught doctoring the books, or be served by a ghostly waiter in the dining room of the Old Kimberley Club. A ghostly Nun, a Scottish Piper, a baby’s wail and even a dogs howl – this tour has it all!
