Kariega Main Beach

Kariega Beach is part of the small and quiet little seaside resort of Kenton-on Sea, which lies between Port Elizabeth and East London. It is a secluded little town with mainly retirees and holiday homes making it the perfect place to go for peace and relaxation.

The beach is nestled between 2 tidal rivers, Kariega River and Bushmans River, and is situated directly in front of a nature reserve, offering a spectacular setting for beach fun. The reserve and rivers attract a large array of birdlife and visitors are welcome to stroll the area at leisure.

The beach is as beautiful as it is popular, with fascinating rock formations and undulating sand dunes. Kariega beach is wide, with beautiful white sands and loads of space to take long walks. It is the perfect place for the family to spend time together taking in the true beauty of the South African coastline. Being a blue flag status beach, it is always clean, well maintained and safe for the family!

The parking area is perched above the beach giving you wide views of the sea and surrounding area. There are also many places within walking distance that offer great accommodation.
