Hopefield Fynbos Show

Soak up the beauty of the West Coast at the 28th annual Hopefield Flower Festival. Come escape the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle and head out to the quaint town of Hopefield for this floral splendour at the local sports club.

Located roughly 120 km outside of Cape Town on the R45, this West Coast hamlet is the oldest town in the area and home to over 200 different species of fynbos from the Renosterveld, Sandveld, Rietveld and wetlands areas of Hopefield.

The Hopefield Sports Club will morph into a horticulturist’s fantasy. Plants are carefully arranged as authentically as possible, thus affording visitors an up-close-and-personal look at the various species of fynbos indigenous to the region. Visitors can also explore the flower-filled fields and hills with tractor rides.

While nature and flora lovers can look forward to the extravagant flower display, those not so taken with foliage can also get excited about food, entertainment, stalls and more.  The on-site sit-down and takeaway restaurant serves up yummy traditional fare, and the beer garden remains the most popular resting spot, with local musicians keeping the party pumping all weekend long.
