The Family Trail for Everyone

The Gifkloof Trail, in Greyton, is a wonderful trail for everyone, and we mean everyone. It is a running, hiking, walking, cycling and horse riding trail and dogs are welcome too!

The Trail starts and ends at the end of the junction of Lower Regent Street and Vlei Street where walkers, joggers or horse-riders can make their way through a gate in the fence and follow a small path down to a beautiful picnic spot on the banks of the Gobos River. The Trail, as we said, brings you back this way so a picnic after your hike is a wonderful idea, remember pack plenty of refreshing drinks and picnic goodies!

Gifkloof Trail offers its explorers stunning views of the quaint town of Greyton, the Hottentots-Holland Mountains and plenty of farmland. The distance is 2 km and this is a moderate Trail with only a few steep sections. The trail can be done in a fairly, easy two hours and will be a fun family day outing, fur kids included!
