Kalk Bay is an atmospheric seaside fishing village south of Muizenburg on the coastline of False Bay that still has a functioning fishing harbour and a fine selection of restaurants & bars.

Kalk Bay lies in a beautiful setting, wedged between the ocean and sharp ascending mountains that are buttressed by crags of grey sandstone and offers a beautiful shopping experience, compared to the synthetic malls elsewhere in South Africa.

Sprinked along the coastal main road you will find quaint antique shops, contemporary art galleries exhibiting local artists, jewellery designers with workshops to view, local fashion designers, ceramics and and and....

Of course you can also just relax in one of the coffee shops along the route or try and spot a Southern Right Whale or two that come really close during calving season.
