The Amphitheatre Flea Market in KwaZulu-Natal of South Africa is situated in Durban near North Beach.

This Durban Flea Market has been going forever and is very popular with locals and visitors to the area. The famous market is held on the Beachfront overlooking the Indian Ocean. Stalls provide food from all over the world, but the favourites are usually Indian meals such as roties, samoosas, curries and fresh pineapple on sticks with Masala Sauce. Children are entertained with Jumping Castles and other activities and the stalls provide for all kinds of shoppers taste. 

Accommodation in the area is plentiful, from Luxury International Hotels to smaller Guest Houses and B&B’s in the surrounding suburbs.

Admission

Admission to the Market is free and it is open every Sunday between 09h00 and 16h00.

Climate

Durban has a warm climate throughout the year with cooler evenings in the winter months and rainfall during the summer months.

Summer months, November to March will have average temperatures of between 15˚C and 29˚C.

Winter months, May to August will have average temperatures of between 7˚C and 20˚C.

There are Domestic and International flights into Durban’s King Shaka Airport on a daily basis. Bus services, taxis and car rental companies are available for easy access around the area.
