Sors ta tête du sable

Silverstroom Beach is situated on Cape Town's west coast, where it is frequented mainly by the community of Atlantis, Malmesbury and Table View.

Situated on the edge of an immense bay, swimming is made possible by the small rocky point that protects bathers from the swell.

The area is well-established, with a large footprint made up of a tidal pool, picnic areas with braai facilities, paved walkways, a large parking lot, several ablution blocks, several different buildings housing separate functions, a large Pavilion and children’s entertainment areas. Lifeguards and security services are in force.

This expansive, secluded, stretch of coastline makes the beach very attractive to those wanting to get away from the hustle and the bustle of city life and is ideal for long walks, with the beach extending as an unbroken stretch of sand for some three kilometers. A dune field backs the northern half of the beach while the rest is covered by coastal vegetation.

There is a slipway is for boat-launching and a perfect shoreline for angling, whilst holiday makers can be accommodated in bungalows at the resort or in the caravan park.
