places you will never forget

We can change how the World sees the blind and how the blind see the World

Kaleidoscope, previously known as the Institute for the Blind is a non-profit organisation that has been catering for the all-inclusive needs of visually impaired persons, including visually impaired persons with additional disabilities, since 1881.

Visually impaired persons of all ages are empowered through the provision of education, training, care, employment, development and accommodation, towards a fulfilled life and complete citizenship.

Kaleidoscope is the central hub for blind progression in South Africa, and soon the world. If you’re reading this with your eyes, Kaleidoscope is here to change your perceptions and show you how the blind can become leaders in this world, integrating into the workforce, society and everything in-between.
