With its seemingly endless six kilometres of golden, sandy, beach, its lagoons and its warm Indian Ocean waves, it is a great place to swim and a good spot from which to watch the whales and dolphins giving unsolicited performances.
Wilderness is known for its beach staircases, better described as boardwalks, spiraling down to the beach front, under a cluster of lush coastal forest, where small mammals and birds are often detected.
These staircases are popularly used for sunrise and sunset beach strolls and by fishermen in search of that big one that never got away. Paragliders also use them during their training, after making a soft landing on the beach.
The hours will slip by and time will stand still as you stroll around in this coastal Eden with its many sea creatures.
