Battle of Ulundi Monument in Ulundi, KwaZulu-Natal

The Battle of Ulundi was fought on July 4th 1879 between the Zulus and the British and resulted in a tragic loss to the Zulus. 

This monument is unique in that in one wing is a plaque to the fallen British, while in the other one is a plaque to the fallen Zulu Warriors.
