South Africa
places you will never forget
Lone Creek Falls is one of the well known landmarks of the area, 10 km west of Sabie on the old Lydenburg tarred road. It is just one of many waterfalls to be found along the Sabie River.

A nominal entrance fee is charged at the boom gate whereafter a lovely short, 200 m walk through an indigenous forest takes you to the bottom of the falls.

Here the Sabie River pours over a 68m cliff of trees, moss and ferns and the waterfall is spectacular after heavy rainfall when the spray nurtures a rainforest.

The falls have been declared a National Monument.
