A Real Country Club

Nestled at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, 240 kilometres away from Cape Town, lies the historical town of Swellendam where you will find the unique and beautiful Swellendam Golf Course.

The course is a 9-hole, 72 Par Parklands style golf course with Kikuyu Fairways and Bent grass greens. It is 2875 metres in length, was designed by Ken Elkin shortly after World War II in 1947 and is now considered one of the top nine hole courses in the country. It's quiet, beautiful and very hilly and has truly magnificent mountain views.

The 9-hole course can be played as such or as an 18-hole one with the best times to play during Summer being early morning or late afternoon. The towns mild winter climate allows for play all year round and the Golf Club is open 7 days a week. The course offers a good variety of difficulty, ensuring a true test of skill for all levels of golfers.

Swellendam Golf Course is well maintained with a permanent irrigation system that ensures optimal golfing conditions for every golfer that takes to the course. A large dam and two smaller dams provide irrigation water and act as ball-magnets.

Pop in whenever you like and experience true hospitality, the staff are always happy to welcome new faces!
