Seated under the magnificent boughs of a huge red-flowering gum tree (Corymbia ficifolia), surrounded by bamboo and a variety of trees and shrubs, hungry visitors have a choice between the blackboard offering or a variety of offerings on the summer menu of tasty salads and light meals.

On cold winter days the cosy interior of the former recording studio offers traditional soups, stews and delectable pastries and cakes. A walk through the oldest South African university botanical garden afterwards is the perfect aperitif for the lover of nature.
