The golf course at Port Shepstone Country Club on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal is just one hour away from Durban and a mere 20 minute drive from Margate. The course is a paradise for any nature lover, having a large selection of bird life.
The course is a Par 72, 18-hole course and the fairways are mostly covered with Buffalo grass, fairly wide and generally in excellent condition. The first holes are luscious coastal forest with a large variety of indigenous trees and mangroves that line the fairways and are considered to be incredibly beautiful by many players.
The second half of the course is more of a links style course which is open and wind affected with a good number of water hazards making it a great challenge for any player. No one wants to miss an experience here!
With a river running through the course, it gives players both a challenge and a wonderful view while playing, that one cannot find anywhere else. One might even see some Monkeys and Dyker foraging around while you play.
The club is a regular championship host and players can expect all the facilities to be in first rate condition. Book in advance to avoid any disappointment!
Green fees are between R25 and R110, excluding any equipment hire.
