Port Elizabeth has multiple swimming beaches, with Kings Beach being the largest as well as one of the most beautiful. It has a 2 km long stretch of sandy coastline with rolling dunes in the distance. With rock-free and calm waters it is amazing for the younger family members to swim in.

There are many freshwater swimming pools that border the beach, the perfect place for the family with kids who are just a little too small for the ocean. Parents can relax on the huge grassy area and picnic while the little ones play in the pools to their hearts content. Plus, the Supertubes are only a few metres away for the young and old to fit and brave to enjoy.

The beachfront has recently been revamped and now has blue flag status. The upgrade included new gardens, pathways, lighting, grassing, fencing of pool areas and even an upgraded skateboard facility. The security has also been improved and now there is even more parking than before to ensure its practicality as well as beauty. This renovation ensures that Kings Beach stays the best of the bay.

There are plenty of things to do when it comes to Kings Beach, so bring the whole family for some fun in the sun!
