Without a doubt, visiting an Ostrich Farm while in Oudtshoorn has to be the most popular activity by far.
The farm promises an unforgettable experience for the young and old. Here you can see large flocks of Ostriches at different stages of development, spend some time feeding the big birds and learn how feather dusters and feather boas are made. Guests are taken on an easy walk around the farm with professional and multilingual guides who share interesting and fun facts about these extraordinarily large birds, like the fact that one ostrich egg can feed 20 people. At the end of the tour, guests are allowed to choose to sit on or even ride an Ostrich, an experience you will never forget!
The Farm is privately owned and complies with the Bio Security Regulations and Standards. The farm is disabled friendly and ensures shady, comfortable conditions for its guests. There is a wonderful restaurant where guests can indulge in ostrich paté and biltong or try out some of that ostrich egg!
Admission fee is between R45 and R85. Prices are subject to change, please contact the Farm directly to confirm pricing. Booking is advised.
