Old Mission Church (Montagu Museum)

The Montagu Museum was originally started in this old neo-gothic Mission Church, built in 1907, which today still houses the administrative offices. The original exhibit from 1975, comprising of a collection of pulpit bibles, church arti-facts and old wedding dresses are still on show for guests to see.

Another permanent exhibition is the Indigenous Medicinal Plant research project displayed in one wing.

The museum is known for its dynamic exhibition that changes regularly. This way, regardless of how often, or infrequently, you visit, there will always be something new to enjoy, so come and visit us often!
